Cancellation policy
Last updated 3 September 2026
We want satisfied customers, not hostages. That is why you can cancel monitoring yourself, from your own account, with no phone call and no questions asked.
How to cancel
- Sign in at curbcuthq.com/account with the email address you bought with, using your password or the link we email you.
- Find the site you are monitoring and choose Manage subscription.
- Choose Cancel on the billing page that opens. That page is run by Stripe, our payment provider, and it also lets you change your card and download invoices.
If anything about that does not work, email billing@curbcuthq.com and we will cancel it for you. An email on its own is not a cancellation until we confirm it, so if you have not heard back within a working day, chase us.
Our responsibility is to the account owner, the person whose email address the subscription is under, so we cannot cancel at anyone else's request.
What happens when you cancel
Monitoring keeps running until the end of the month you have already paid for, then stops. We will not bill you again. We do not automatically refund unused days, but if you had only just started a new month, or had not used the service for months, ask us for a fair refund. We will treat you right.
Your reports, past scan results and attestations stay on your account page after monitoring ends. If you would rather we deleted them, along with your account, ask, and we will do it within 30 days as described in our Privacy policy.
Cancellations we initiate
If a monthly payment fails, Stripe retries it several times over about three weeks and emails you each time. If it still cannot be collected, the subscription is cancelled and monitoring stops. You can start again whenever you like.
We also keep the right to suspend or terminate accounts for any reason at any time, as set out in our Terms of Service. In practice, that means we cancel without notice when we have evidence that an account is being used for something our Use Restrictions policy forbids, such as scanning sites it has no permission to scan.
